Proverbs 4:20-22 (NKJV) 20 My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. 21 Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; 22 For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh.

Solomon says to his son, “pay attention to my words.” The psalmist writes this about the Word of God, “Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You” (Psalm 119:11 NKJV). The psalmist is saying that he obeys God’s Word. This is what Solomon is trying to get across to his son. Obeying God’s Word is the important thing. For God’s Word is the word of life. The Word of God is the living Word, for God’s Word is true for all generations. “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV). The Word of God brings instruction, direction and joy to all who obey it. For the Scriptures are the very spoken word of God. “Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh” (Proverbs 4:21-22 NKJV).

God Bless and have a good day in God’s Word.
