Colossians 3:14-16 (NKJV) 14 But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Two fruits of the Holy Spirit of God are love and peace. Love binds all other Christian virtues together. For the greatest gift is love. As the Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing.” The things that we do for one another should not be done grudgingly or with ulterior motives. But should be born out love for our brothers and sisters in Christ. For love is the bond of perfection. And the things that we do should be governed by God’s peace in our hearts. If it is God’s will, He will most certainly give you peace about it. As brothers and sisters in Christ, we ought to be able to come together in harmony in Christ Jesus our Lord and Savior. And help one another in all we do and say. For a cheerful and thankful attitude is beneficial not only to us as individuals, but also to the body of believers. A thankful heart is a cure for a selfish heart. The Word of God can dwell in a thankful heart. But it cannot take root in a selfish heart. My friends the Word of God can be at home in our hearts when we have a thankful heart. A key to having a thankful heart is to abide in God’s love. When we abide in God’s love, we abide in God, and God abides in us. And by this, we can teach and admonish one another in love. And when we abide in God’s love, we can with great joy in our hearts sing praises of worship and thanksgiving to the Lord.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
