Luke 24:44-47 (NKJV) 44 Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures. 46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Jesus had to remind His disciples of the things concerning Him, because they simply had not believed the Scriptures. Jesus had to open up their mind and heart to His Word. And that is what we need as well in order to understand God’s Word. We need to have the Holy Spirit of God open up the Scriptures to us. For only the Holy Spirit can make God’s Word real to us. And when we do submit ourselves to the Holy Spirit, a wonderful thing happens, He equips us with all that we need in Christ Jesus to get the Word out. The Word of God, the message of salvation, is to go to people all around the world. The message of salvation is the good news that God provided the way for sinners to be freed from the penalty of sin. And the way is the Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son. For Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV). Everyone who comes to Jesus for salvation will receive eternal life. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). My friend, salvation can only be found in Jesus Christ, God the Son. The good news, the gospel of Jesus Christ, the message of salvation is the best news anyone will ever hear. God’s Word is going out today. God is calling people to choose life. For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13 NKJV).

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
