Luke 4:38-39 (NKJV) 38 Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. But Simon’s wife’s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. 39 So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.

After leaving the synagogue, our Lord Jesus Christ went to Simon Peter’s house, perhaps to fellowship during lunch. While Jesus was in Peter’s house, Peter and his wife asked Jesus to heal their mom, Peter’s mother-in-law, who had a great fever. Meaning to say she was critically ill. Our Lord Jesus Christ rebuked, or silenced, the fever. Much like how Jesus silenced the storm. And how He also deals with sin. Immediately she was healed. When our Lord Jesus Christ healed someone, that person was immediately healed. My friend, it is important to understand, that all healing is divine. This is what doctor Luke is telling us. For who gives doctors and scientists the knowledge and wisdom to come up with a cure? God is the One who provides the answers. So, it is wonderful that team of doctors, scientists and professionals that our President has put together to find a cure for this virus that is affecting the world today, are prayerful. It is wonderful that they understand that all healing is divine. A wonderful surgeon once said, “I take out what is causing harm to the body or repair what is broken in the body, but God is the Healer.” What a wonderful testimony. God does the healing. My friend, in this time of fear and worry over the pandemic that is afflicting the world today, be strong in your faith. Trust in God. Be still and know that He is God. And that He will take care of you because He loves you. Remember the lyrics of this wonderful song, I Am the God That Healeth Thee, by Don Moen:

I am the God that Healeth thee
I am the Lord Your healer
I sent My word And I healed your disease
I am the Lord Your healer

You are the God that Healeth me
You are the Lord My healer
You sent Your word And You healed my disease
You are the Lord My healer

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
