Psalm 25:6-7 (NKJV) 6 Remember, O Lord, Your tender mercies and Your lovingkindnesses, For they are from of old. 7 Do not remember the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions; According to Your mercy remember me, For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord.
The kindness of God is demonstrated towards us when He blesses us with the things that we pray for that are in accordance with His will. The loving kindness of God is when He blesses us with things that we have not prayed for. David is praying for God’s tender mercies and His loving kindness because David was in trouble, and the godly remnant of Israel will also pray for God’s mercies and loving kindness during the Great Tribulation. And this psalm speaks to our hearts today in our time of trouble during this pandemic. We can come boldly before God in the righteousness of Christ with our worries, fears and uncertainties. We can leave it all at the foot of the Cross and in God’s hands. Then we can simply be still and know He is God. We can rest securely in Christ’s perfect peace. David not only asked God to show to him His tender mercies and loving kindness. But David also asks God to forgive his sins. David prays to God for goodness and mercy. God is rich in goodness and mercy. He has an abundance of goodness and mercy for all of us. And we can say with confidence along with David, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever” (Psalm 23:6 NKJV). Because of what Christ did for us on the cross on Calvary over 2,000 years ago. God loves us, and He did not withhold His only begotten Son for us. And God is faithful to complete the plans that He has for us, until the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Therefore, my friend trust in God, believe in Him, and rest in His perfect peace.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
