1 Timothy 1:12 (NKJV) And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry,
The Apostle Paul emphasizes the Lordship of Christ. Jesus is Lord and King. We don’t make Him Lord over our lives. Because Jesus is already and has always been Lord and King. We simply accept Christ as Lord and Savior. Paul says that his ordination did not come from man, it came from Christ. This is true for everyone in ministry. But recognize this too my friends, we are ordained by God to be ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the message of salvation. We all have a task to carry out in the body of Christ to get the Word out. Every believer is a minister of the Lord Jesus Christ. And consider this as well, Paul even calls rulers ministers. Elected officials are supposed to function as ministers of God. But not all elected officials act as ministers of God. It is plain to see by the laws they introduce. That is why, I for one am grateful that God sometimes overrules ungodly elected officials. That is why, we as Christians are told to submit ourselves to the rulers or elected officials because God is in control. But, yes, it is easier to submit to someone that you like. I am glad that we have a President and Vice President who are acting as ministers of God, especially in this crisis. You may disagree with me, and that is fine. But you can’t disagree with God. We as believers have some service to perform for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Even if it is simply to submit ourselves to governing authorities. For we are told, “Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God” (Romans 13:1 NKJV). I thank God, that He is in control.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
