Psalm 91:16 (NKJV) With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”

You see my friend, when Jesus Christ was here on earth He was fully Man and fully God. And as the perfect Man He died on the Cross and as God the Son He paid the penalty for our sins. Jesus went into the jaws of death, into the lowest parts of the earth, meaning death and the grave. And God the Father delivered Him on the third day when He raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory. The Father says, “I will set Him on high.” This is Christ’s present sitting. Jesus is at the Father’s right hand. At the Father’s right hand Jesus intercedes for us. He provides for us. And He delivers us. So, the skeptic might say, and the believer in times of doubt might say, why then does bad things happen to those who put their trust in Jesus? Some succumb to diseases and illnesses. Some die in accidents. Some fall in combat. Some are murdered, and on so forth and so on. How can we reconcile all of the promises of safe-keeping, even today during this pandemic? Part of the answer is in this promise “being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6 NKJV). We are sealed with the Holy Spirit of God unto the day of redemption (see Ephesians 4:30). Until then, my friend, you can trust God to complete whatever He has planned for you. God will complete the good works that He intends for you to do. God will see you through. Just as the Father has given the Son, Jesus Christ, a work to do and nothing can stop Him, God has given each of us a lifework. And nothing can stop us until our work is done. Nobody, not even Satan, can stop God’s purpose in our lives if we are following Jesus. We are to remain in Christ for He is the Light of the World. Don’t dwell in the darkness, that will only allow Satan to inject fear and doubt into your heart. Continue to walk with Christ. Continue to trust in Him. For we are kept by the power of God through faith. My friend, keep your eyes on Jesus, and you will finish your work. And the other part of the answer is in this: “Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?”” (John 11:25-26 NKJV). My friend, do you believe? If you have Jesus then you have life. Whosoever lives and believes in Jesus will never die because our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has already died for our sins. We will never be separated from God. Therefore, my friend, “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord” (2 Corinthians 5:8 NKJV). It is the body that is put to sleep, but the soul never dies. A believer’s soul goes to be with Christ. The body goes to sleep, and it is the body that is raised. But whether we die before Christ’s return or if we are alive when Christ returns, we all will be given a glorified body. Knowing these things, my friend, we walk by faith.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
