Genesis 1:9-13 (NKJV) 9 Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. 11 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. 12 And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 So the evening and the morning were the third day.

The waters above were separated from the waters below. And the waters below were further separated by land. Every spot of land was once covered by water at one time. Not only in the beginning but also during the Flood which was God’s judgement upon the earth. God’s final judgment is coming one day. But that is not what we as believers look for. We have a Hope for the future. We look for the day of Christ’s return. God said it and it will be done. Just as how God spoke everything into existence. We are not given great detail about Creation. We don’t know how exactly everything was made down to its molecular structure. But God has told us enough about Creation for us to believe Him. And that is really the heart of the matter. Do you believe? All of Creation is for the benefit of man. God created a place that is habitable for man. And God gave man reign over all of creation. God created vegetables and fruits for man to eat. For man was a vegetarian up to the time of the Flood. Much has changed since Adam and Eve left the garden. And much more has changed since the Flood. During the third day of Creation, God caused the dry land to rise up from the waters. And God caused vegetation and trees to rise up from the land. Just as how God raised His Son from the dead on the third day. All of Creation speaks of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The question is can you hear God speaking to you? God wants to raise you up to a higher plane. God wants to bring you into a personal loving relationship with Him. God wants to give you Hope for the future. Believe in Christ my friend, and God will raise you up on the last day. This brings to mind a wonderful song by Josh Groban. It is fitting for our devotion for today, and for the issues of today. The lyrics goes like this:

When I am down, and, oh, my soul, so weary
When troubles come, and my heart burdened be
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence
Until you come and sit awhile with me

You raise me up, so I can stand on mountains
You raise me up to walk on stormy seas
I am strong when I am on your shoulders
You raise me up to more than I can be

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
