Psalm 96:1-2 (NKJV) Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! Sing to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Sing to the Lord, bless His name; Proclaim the good news of His salvation from day to day.

This is a psalm of praise to God coming in judgment. The “new song” is the song of redemption. All who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior sing “My Redeemer Lives,” today. The faithful remnant of Israel will sing the “new song” at the Second Advent of Christ. The Book of Revelation says we all will sing a “new song.” “And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain, And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”” (Revelation 5:9-10 NKJV). And “They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth” (Revelation 14:3 NKJV). Those who are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ sing a “new song.” And the faithful remnant who are redeemed out of the Tribulation will sing a “new song.” Together we will sing a “new song” when our Lord Jesus Christ enters into His Millennium Kingdom. It will be a Triumphal Entry indeed. All of the redeemed will blend their voices in prefect harmony and sing a “new song.” We will bless the name of Jesus, and testify to His redemption power. Together we may sing: “Love has come to rescue us, Jesus Saves. Free at last, what a joyful noise we’ll make. And we join with heaven’s song. Jesus Saves. Shout it out! To let all the world know that Jesus Saves.” (Jeremy Camp, Jesus Saves). Sing it out loud my friends, “Jesus Saves.”

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
