Psalm 59:16-17 (NKJV) 16 But I will sing of Your power; Yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For You have been my defense And refuge in the day of my trouble. 17 To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; For God is my defense, My God of mercy.

God did deliver David. And God will not forsake those who are saved by the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ. The faithful remnant of Israel will be delivered by Jesus Christ Himself at His second coming when He will put an end to His enemies. David was victorious over the Edomites. They were completely annihilated, and they never united in power again. David’s victory over the Edomites is a prophetic picture of how Christ will deliver the faithful remnant of Israel after the Great Tribulation. For our application, our enemies may be rejoicing over our suffering, but the morning is coming when Christ will put an end to our enemies. And we will sing with great joy of the power, mercy and grace of our Deliverer, Jesus Christ. For Christ is our defense and refuge in our day of great need.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
