Psalm 50:12-15 (NKJV) 12 “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness. 13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, Or drink the blood of goats? 14 Offer to God thanksgiving, And pay your vows to the Most High. 15 Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”
Almighty God is the Creator of the heavens and the earth. God created all things. What assistance then does God need of His creatures to satisfy His hunger or thirst? God does not need a single thing from men. For God does not suffer from hunger or thirst. Because He is self-sufficient. What then does God want from us? These three things: for us to give thanks for the things that He has done for us; for us to solemnly promise to love Him with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our mind, and with all our strength; and for us to call upon Him for deliverance. My friends, we are given a wonderful insight into the heart of God in these three things that God wants from us. Think about it. God cherishes prayers of thanksgiving from His children. God cherishes prayers from His children who sincerely loves Him. And God loves to answer the prayers of His children who are in need of help. The insight that we get is that God loves us because He is merciful and full of grace. And He cherishes the intimate and personal relationship He has with every one of us.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
