Matthew 5:8 (NKJV) Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God.

The heart of the natural man is wicked. A heart that is desperately wicked needs to be made clean by the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus said to those who believed, “You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you” (John 15:3 NKJV). A wicked heart is purged, made clean, by the Word of God. The Word of God has cleansing power. “Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever” (1 Peter 1:22-23 NKJV). The Word of God cleanses us continually. That is why we need to study the Bible and obey God’s Word. For “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word” (Psalm 119:9 NKJV). As believers we are to be obedient to God’s Word. We are to study the Word of God and let the Holy Spirit apply it to our lives. When the Word of God is real in our lives, then and only then are we made serviceable to God. For “…if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1 John 1:7 NKJV). You see, my friends, it is possible for a believer to walk in darkness and think that he or she is all right. Have you come into the presence of God? And have you allowed the Word of God to cleanse your heart?

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
