Romans 6:23 (NKJV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The contrast between death and life is clear. If you have Christ, then you have life. If you are without Christ, then you have death. It is clear that we need a Savior, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 NKJV). We need a Savior, and God has said, “I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior” (Isaiah 43:11 NKJV). We have a Savior. And His name is Jesus. In Christ alone by grace alone we are saved. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12 NKJV). Because God so loved us, He provided us a Savor. Remember when Christ stepped down from heaven and clothed Himself in humanity? The angel told the shepherds, “I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord”” (Luke 2:10-11 NKJV). God provided us a Savior, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). My friend, if you have Christ, then you have life. But if you are without Christ, then you have death. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23 NKJV). And my friend, you receive that gift by faith. We are saved by faith, and we are to live by faith. We are to walk moment by moment by faith. Why? Because faith requires a constant dependence upon God. We are to abide in Christ who is the object of our faith. My friend, all who are in the Lord Jesus Christ have eternal life, and all you are not, have death. It is that simple.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
