Psalm 51:7 (NKJV) Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

If we confess our sins, God will forgive our sins. But understand this about forgiveness, it is God who took the first step towards forgiveness. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). And it is God who confronts us with our sins. The natural man will instinctively try to hide his sin or cover it up. God is the one who approaches our hearts and reveals to us our sin. God is the one who took the first step towards forgiveness. God is merciful and gracious. He is longsuffering. He is abundant in goodness and truth. But know this as well about forgiveness, God does not pardon us of our sins. God hates sin. And being a just and righteous God, the penalty for sin, which is death, must be paid. God’s love for us does not save us. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins with His substitutional sacrifice on the cross at Calvary. Jesus’ shed blood on the cross brought us forgiveness. God’s love cannot clean the sinner. The blood of Jesus washes our sins away. God took our sins and transferred them unto Jesus, His only begotten Son, and He paid the penalty for our sins. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” (2 Corinthians 5:21 NKJV). God spared Abraham’s son, Isaac. But God did not spare His own Son. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took our sins upon Himself on the cross, He was delivered for our sins, and He has given us His righteousness. Jesus died for our sins, because God does not ignore sin. Therefore, God sacrificed His Son, so that we may have life in Him. “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7 NKJV). God forgives sins, because His Son Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin. Jesus paid it all. All to Him we owe. And now with open arms God extends grace to all who will believe by faith in His Son Jesus Christ for salvation. My friend, are you getting out this good news? Are you getting the wonderful Word of salvation, reconciliation and redemption out to a lost world of sinners? God is the same yesterday, today and forever. God still loves sinners, but hates sins, just as He did the day Christ died on the cross at Calvary over 2,000 years ago. This is the good news that people need to hear from believers. Jesus is the answer for the world today. The lost sinners are reconciled to God by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, but they will have to come to Him for salvation by faith. My friend, let’s get this wonderful Word out.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
