2 Corinthians 4:18 (NKJV) while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

There is a big contrast between the things of this world and the things in heaven. Here on earth, there seems to be a whole lot of trouble. And it seems to last a life time. Life’s problems can easily weigh us down. But when we focus our sights on heaven, our problems are bearable. “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” (2 Corinthians 4:17 NKJV). When life’s problems weigh us down, we are not to focus our gaze on the ground. We are not to struggle under the burdens of life. We are not to worry about the problems, and focus our thoughts on the negative. For all of life problems are temporary. Life here on earth, in this body that we live in, is also temporary. We are passing through this earth, as a traveler in a foreign land. And our destination is heaven. That is where our focus should be. We are to fix our eyes on the Lord Jesus Christ who is in heaven, seated at the right hand of the Father. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, “looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2 NKJV). Let us be like the Apostle Paul, who said “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 3:14 NKJV). When we fix our eyes on Jesus, the problems of life will grow strangely dim. There is no need for a child of God to worry himself or herself to death over the problems of life. Because first of all they are only temporary. And secondly, we serve a God who is bigger than our problems. God can handle it. Turn over your burdens to God, and let Him handle it. Then, focus your energy on the things of heaven. Focus on the things of eternal life. Focus on the things that pleases God. Focus on the things that gets the Word out, the message of salvation, the gospel of Jesus Christ. Focus on Christ’s return by being a productive Christian. Meaning, do the things that God has ordained you to do. And I remind you my friend, we are all part of the body of Christ. And we all have a part as part of the body of Christ, to get the Word God out to a world of lost sinners.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
