Matthew 18:19-20 (NKJV) 19 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will hear any request which He would make Himself, and “it will be done” for us. Because Jesus will answer any request which is asked in accordance with His will. This is the basis for answered prayers. And the basis for a church is simply to have at least two believers gathered together in Jesus’ name. But understand a church is not a church without the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” It is not the numbers of members in a church that constitutes a church. Rather, it is the presence of Jesus Christ in the midst of them who gather in His name. The Lord Jesus Christ is the basis for the church. And as a body of believers in Christ, we are to “…continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42 NKJV) by Christ’s authority, in acknowledgement of who He is, God the Son, and in obedience to His Word.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
