2 Corinthians 11:25-27 (NKJV) 25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness—
The Apostle Paul went through a lot for the sake of the Lord Jesus Christ. Many of us have not even been through just a small fraction of what Paul went through. We sit in our comfort zone, safe and secure, sacrificing very little of our luxuries, and with little or no self-sacrifice. We serve God when it is convenient for us. We are easily offended. And we quickly quit when we don’t have things our way, because it is all about us. We know practically nothing of hardship. And we know nothing about suffering for the sake of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My friend, have you ever tried stepping out of your comfort zone for Christ’s sake? Jesus said, “The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.” (Luke 10:2 NKJV). Pray my friend, then be ready to be used by God for Christ’s sake.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
