1 Corinthians 11:1 (NKJV) Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.

Not many of us are as obedient and submissive to the Lord Jesus Christ as was the Apostle Paul. I for one would not say “imitate how I live, just as I live my life like how Christ lived His.” For one thing there is not one day in which I don’t stumble and fall. An evil thought, or an unkind word, these are the most common ways in which we fall short of the glory of God.  That is the reason you and I need Christ. That is why I am committed to pointing people to Christ. I want you to be a follower of Christ, not a follower of me. Yes, it is our goal to live our lives for Christ, to be obedient and submissive to God. But we can never be perfect until we are made in Christ’s image on the day He returns. And there is danger in thinking to highly of ourselves, for that is where the devil can hurt us the most. It is better and safer to humble yourself before the LORD and rest securely in His mercy and grace. When we come to this understanding, God can use us for His purpose and His will.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
