Romans 11:33 (NKJV) Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
How can it be that God the Son would die for us? Yet it was God’s marvelous plan of salvation, even before the beginning of time, by which a holy and just God can save unworthy sinners, like me and you as well my friend, and still be just in doing so. The Lord Jesus Christ’s finish redeeming work on the Cross brought more glory to God and more blessing to all of men kind than Adam lost through his sin of disobedience. God’s grace given to those who will believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior, produces in us a Christ like character in a way that the Law could never do. It is difficult for us to fully understand “the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God”. And yet we can understand the “why” of God’s purpose from God’s foreknowledge to glorification, from God’s sovereignty in election to the free will given to men by God, from God’s dispensational dealings with Israel to God’s dealing with other nations, and from God’s dealings with the Jews to God’s dealings with the Gentiles to include ourselves. We are able to understand the will of God when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. We need to be born again in order to understand these things. Because “…the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14 NKJV). My friend, we cannot understand the Word of God until the Holy Spirit of God reveals the Word of God to us by opening up our hearts and minds to understand. The Word of God and the will of God are Spiritually discerned. Only the Holy Spirit of God can take the things of God and make them real to us. Jesus said, “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you” (John 16:13-14 NKJV). My friend, unless you are born again, and filled with the Holy Spirit of God, the things of Christ, such as salvation, will mean very little to you. And yet, “How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!” My friend, we may not understand fully why God allows the things that happen to us, but we must believe that God is allowing them for our good. Because “…we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28 NKJV). Knowing and believing in this, we can be “…confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ” (Philippians 1:6 NKJV). We may not always understand God’s ways. Our circumstances in life may not always be good, but all of our life circumstances come from the “depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God.” God always has our best interest in mind, for God is good all the time and all the time God is good. With this in mind, we can joyfully submit to God’s ways.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
