Daniel 3:4-6 (NKJV) 4 Then a herald cried aloud: “To you it is commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, 5 that at the time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lyre, and psaltery, in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall fall down and worship the gold image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up; 6 and whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast immediately into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.”

There was no freedom of worship at this inaugural service. And so, shall it be when the people of the world will be forced to worship the Anti-Christ. When the music plays, they are to fall down and worship him. There will be no room for disobedience. All who refuse to bow down will die. That will be the religious environment during the Great Tribulation. And it was the religious environment in King Nebuchadnezzar’s world. There was absolutely no tolerance for any other religions. And it feels like we live in an anti-Christian world today. Just take a look at the restrictions put on Christian churches today. How is it that churches in some states can only have a maximum number of 50 worshipers in their sanctuary, but the church can hold their services in a casino ballroom and have as many worshipers as the room can fit. It just doesn’t make sense. The one conclusion is simply, that Christianity is under attack today. But what can Christians do to stand up for Christ? Well, we can live according to God’s Word and grow in our knowledge of Him. Our Lord Jesus Christ said, “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s” (Mark 12:17 NKJV). As citizens of heaven, we still have to obey the laws set by men, but we can work within the law to fight for our religious freedom in a just, orderly and peaceful way. For we are citizens of heaven after all. And the best things that we can do is live and share the message of salvation as Christ would. Then let God take care of the rest. As the Apostle Peter said, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear” (1 Peter 3:15 NKJV). Our protection in an anti-Christian world is to “Sanctify the Lord God in our hearts.” My friends, we have a sanctuary in our hearts today. It is a place where we can go and sanctify the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts. Do this my friends, and the whole world will see Christ in you. Living a life that supports our testimony and the Word of God is how we can stand up for Christ. My friends, being Christ-like is the best way to help people see the truth. And if you happen to stumble and fall, repent of your sin, and let God bring you back into fellowship with Him. For our transformation is a life long process after all. But be mindful not to use it as an excuse to sin. Because the sceptics will surely recognize it and use it against you. And just as important, don’t beat yourself down over your mistakes. Let Christ pick you up and dust the dirt off your knees, and put you back on the straight and narrow path. And continue on with Christ. Don’t worry about not being able to convict people of their sins, that is leading them into repentance. Because conviction is the job of the Holy Spirit, and they choose whether or not to accept Jesus as their Savior. The best that we can do is continue to grow towards spiritual maturity and continue to be more Christ-like. Our best weapon, our best defense in an anti-Christian world is to demonstrate God’s love through kindness, humility and compassion. And studying God’s Word, digesting it, that is to understand it, and keeping it dear in the sanctuary of our hearts will help us be more like Christ.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
