Daniel 3:28-29 (NKJV) 28 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His Angel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God! 29 Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; because there is no other God who can deliver like this.”

Nebuchadnezzar acknowledges that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego are “servants of the Mos High God.” Nebuchadnezzar is getting a little closer to knowing the true and living God. These three faithful servants of God came out of the fiery furnace with not a single hair singed, nor did they smell of smoke. This is a clear eye-witness account of a miracle. Nebuchadnezzar witnessed the miracle and recognized the omnipotence of the true and living God. Nebuchadnezzar acknowledges that their God is far superior than his gods. But Nebuchadnezzar still does not personally believe in the God of Israel. It will take a long time for Nebuchadnezzar to move away from his false gods. But evidentially, Nebuchadnezzar will have a true conversion. So, my friends, are you witnessing to someone and it is taking a long time for him or her to accept Jesus as his or her Savior? If you are, don’t give up, keep on sharing the gospel of Truth to them and keep on praying for them. And one day, he or she will make the decision to accept the Lord Jesus Christ. Now, twice these three faithful servants of God have been saved by God. Twice they were sentence to death, and twice they have been miraculously saved. And twice they have been promoted. God is still doing this today. The Lord Jesus Christ is able to keep His own in the world today. This is a comforting thought to all of us who believes in Jesus. Jesus said “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:27-28 NKJV). And Jesus prayed to the Father, “Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are” (John 17:11 NKJV). Jesus prays for us who believe in Him to be kept. And we are indeed kept because we are sealed by the Holy Spirit and because Jesus is making intercession for us. “Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them” (Hebrews 7:25 NKJV). This understanding caused the Apostle Paul to say with confidence, “For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day” (2 Timothy 1:12 NKJV). It is comforting to know that we are in God’s hands. Jesus’ other request is that all true believers might be made one in His body. Not in a one world religion, but in the body of Christ. “For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church; and He is the Savior of the body” (Ephesians 5:23 NKJV). My friends, we are living in a world in which we are going to have trouble, problems, grief, trials and tribulations. The Christian life is not a bed of roses. We may from time-to-time get into a fiery furnace, a really hot mess, but our Lord Jesus Christ is able to keep us even there in the fire, and He is able to bring us out of it. We simply have to trust in Jesus.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
