John 15:11 (NKJV) “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.

That is heavenly joy. If we should have the joy of the Lord in our lives, then we would bring others into the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ by our very lives. Meaning, if we would make the joy of the Lord the primary objective of our lives, then bringing people to Christ would simply be a result of the joy of the Lord within us. You see my friends, it is the Holy Spirit who creates the fruit in our lives, but He can’t create the fruit of the Spirit in our lives if we do not have the joy of the Lord within us. And the reason why we may be lacking the joy of the Lord in our lives is because there are somethings in our lives that needs to be removed. That is why God cleanses us from such hinderances. And sometimes it may hurt, but if we draw closer to God then it will not be so painful. God wants us to bear much fruit so He cleanses us. He lifts us up and cleanse our lives so that we may bear more fruit. And how does our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ does this? Jesus cleanses us through the Word which He have spoken to us (see John 15:3). We are cleansed by the very spoken Word of God. “Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever” (1 Peter 1:22-23 NKJV). When our lives get filthy with worldly things, when we fall for the temptations of life, and sin. When jump into the muddy pig pin of lust, greed, jealousy, anger, hatred and pride we get dirty and we need the Word of God to cleanse us. And my friends, we need to be cleansed each and every day, in all honesty. That is one reason to read the Bible daily, so that we can be cleansed daily. For, “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your word” (Psalm 119:9 NKJV). My friends, God intends for us to be obedient to His very spoken Word. So, that we might be serviceable to Him. We need to study the Word of God and apply His Word to our lives. And we do this, by abiding in Christ. That is when we remain in the secret place of the Most High. When we remain in the heart of Jesus by obedience. For Jesus said, “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you” (John 15:10, 14 NKJV). There is a song that contains the verses, “Some call Him Savior, the Redeemer of all men, I call Him Jesus, for He’s my dearest Friend.” My friends, when we call Jesus a friend of mine, we are being sentimental. But when Jesus says that we are His friends, that is a wonderful thing because we are doing what He commands us to do. My friends, obedience is essential to being filled with the joy of the Lord.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
