Proverbs 24:27 (NKJV) Prepare your outside work, Make it fit for yourself in the field; And afterward build your house.

This is a sound advice. That is applicable to any task or venture. Preparation is key. Before work is started on building a house, the land must be cleared and the materials must be made, or purchased and delivered, and the foundation must be laid. The same is true for all of our endeavors. We need to prepare for it. Especially before marriage and starting a family. We need to get our own life in order before saying “I do”. Then after, both husband and wife must ready themselves spiritually, emotionally and financially before starting a family. But one word of caution about being financially ready, don’t go over broad, don’t over do it, because then you will never be ready. It is more important to be spiritually ready and emotionally ready. And of these two, having a right relationship with God is most important. That way you will be able to bring up your children in the ways of the LORD.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
