Psalm 107:23-24 (NKJV) 23 Those who go down to the sea in ships, Who do business on great waters, 24 They see the works of the Lord, And His wonders in the deep.

Being a sailor in the days when this psalm was written was a dangerous occupation. Those who went out on a voyage on the sea were not sure if they were going to return. Because of this, they were more likely to commit themselves to God. I am sure that even today, when sailors encounter really rough seas, they call out to God. Just like me, when the airplane encounters some strong turbulence way up there in the sky. It is wonderful to be able to commit ourselves to God at times like that.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
