Psalm 29:3-4 (NKJV) 3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters. 4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

David is describing the storm that is approaching from way up in the northwest. David sees the distant lighting and hears the thunder. The storm is gathering up strength and is heading towards Jerusalem. And the voice of God is in the thunder. The storm is getting closer, the wind is beginning to blow. The clouds become darker and they block out the sun. At midday it is dark as night. David hears the rumble of the thunder and he sees the flash of lighting. The storm comes a shore on the Mediterranean Coast. The storm surge rolls high and break with the sound of a cannon on the shore. The waves push in land covering everything in its path. And the storm marches angerly from the north to the south. David sees that the path of the storm will not spare Jerusalem. The storm picks up speed and draws closer and closer to Jerusalem. And David hears the powerful voice of the LORD in the thunder. “The voice of the LORD is full of majesty.” It is awe inspiring. My friends, even in judgment, God is full of majesty and grace. When we submit to God, He is merciful on us.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
