Isaiah 26:20-21 (NKJV) 20 Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past. 21 For behold, the Lord comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain.

God counsels the faithful remnant of Israel to take refuge in secret chambers while He pours out His wrath on the apostate world. God’s wrath is holy and a justified response to unrepentant sinners. Why? Because God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die on the Cross for the payment of our sins. God provided a way for sinners to be reconciled. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). Those who repent of their sins and turn to Christ for salvation shall be saved. We as believers will not face God’s wrath. But those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ will suffer His righteous wrath. Christ is returning for all who belong to Him by faith. And Jesus is returning to judge the world of unrepentant sinners. But “He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him” (John 3:36 NKJV). There are serious consequences for rejecting the Lord Jesus Christ, for the Word of God tells us, “But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who “will render to each one according to his deeds” (Romans 2:5-6 NKJV). However, all who have turned from their sins and turned to Christ for salvation by faith, can be assured that they will not face God’s wrath. For the Word of God also tells us,  “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him” (Romans 5:9 NKJV).

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
