Psalm 32:8-9 (NKJV) 8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. 9 Do not be like the horse or like the mule, Which have no understanding, Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle, Else they will not come near you.

In order for God to guide you with His eye, you must be close enough to see His eyes. You must be very close to God if you are to be guided with His eye. God tells us that we ought not to make things uncomfortable for ourselves, or place ourselves in the position in which we would require strict control and discipline. Many Christians are this way, they are not following God’s will. They are operating on their own will. They are like an untamed horse or like a stubborn old mule. They are wild and they won’t follow commands. They are out doing their own thing rather than the things of God. But God will bring them in-line by His overruling providence. Now, this psalm ends on a high note, “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous; And shout for joy, all you upright in heart!” (Psalm 32:10-11 NKJV). My friends, if you know Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, then you can lift up your heart in great joy to the LORD.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
