John 12:44-46 (NKJV) 44 Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me. 46 I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the Light of the World. Just as Jesus opened the eyes of the blind man, Jesus came to open the eyes of anyone who will admit that he or she is blind by sin and that he or she needs the Light of the World. If we would repent of our sins and turn to Christ for Salvation, He will save us. Jesus said if you believe in Him, you also believe in the Father who sent Him. And see that the opposite is also true, if you reject Jesus, then you also reject the Father who sent Him. My friend, you cannot believe in God the Father without believing in God the Son. Jesus came into the world to show us the Father. Jesus has revealed the character of the Father to us. Therefore, whoever has seen the Son has seen the Father. And so those who are without the Lord Jesus Christ are in darkness, meaning to say that they are separated from God. For only Jesus can give them the right understanding of life, death and eternity. Jesus gives us the right understanding of God’s Word. Therefore, those who come to Him will find truth, for Jesus is the Truth, the Way and the Life. And no one comes to the Father except through the Lord Jesus Christ. For the Lord Jesus Christ had said: “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12 NKJV). Jesus reveals our sins, and we ought to agree with Him that it is sin. We are to repent of our sins, and turn to Him for salvation. This is why the Lord Jesus Christ stepped down from heaven, laying aside His glory and clothed Himself in humanity to begin His journey to Cross, the joy that was set before Him before the beginning of time. This is why we celebrate Christmas, because Jesus said yes to the Father. Jesus said, “I will die for them.” And their in the City of David, Bethlehem, God sent His Son born in a stable and placed in a manger to fulfill His plan of salvation. “Thanks be unto God for His unspeakable gift” (2 Corinthians 9:15 KJV).
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
