Psalm 78:23-25 (NKJV) 23 Yet He had commanded the clouds above, And opened the doors of heaven, 24 Had rained down manna on them to eat, And given them of the bread of heaven. 25 Men ate angels’ food; He sent them food to the full.
The Jews wondering around in the desert wanted bread to eat. But there were no ingredients for them to make it. And there was no market for them to buy it. So, God opened the doors of His heavenly bakery and rained down unfailing supplies of manna. God provided them with something better than bread. It was angel’s food, the food of the mighty, the bread of heaven. God gave them all that they needed. Yet the people still doubted God and criticized Him. Nevertheless, God was faithful to them, and He is faithful to us today. There is no doubt that the pandemic changed our lives. And many of us are fearful of what the future may bring. We have seen the whole world devastated by this disease, and it has hit home as well. We have seen friends and love ones come down with it. Some have overcome and some did not. Perhaps, you are fighting to overcome it right now. And you may question God, and you may criticize Him. It is okay to be afraid. But, my friend, don’t lose hope. For Christ is the Hope of our salvation, foremost. And He also gives us hope. Stand strong in your faith, for God is faithful to sustain you, just as He was faithful to His people in the desert. God will provide for you what you need to be healthy and overcome. Put your trust in God, for He cares for you.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
