Hebrews 12:28 (NKJV) Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.

As believers, our citizenship is in heaven. But as we travel in our life journey towards heaven, we need to be diligent in our service to God. And how are we to serve God? We are to serve God “acceptably”. And what does “acceptably” serving God look like? It is service that is done “with reverence and godly fear.” My friends, we can’t simply go through the motions, if you will. We can’t fake it. We can’t play church. And we can’t assume a pious attitude. Christianity is a living, vital, and real relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that transforms our lives and anchors us in the entire Word of God. Christianity is not about keeping religious rituals, traditions and manmade rules and regulations. For these things can be shaken and so too religion can be shaken. But the things of God cannot be shaken and so too a relationship with Jesus Christ is unshakable. For out of love God extended His mercy to us, that is why God saved us by His grace through the substitutional sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ. Because God is steadfast in His Word, His kingdom cannot be shaken. We can trust in God.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
