Jude 20-21 (NKJV) 20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

Prior to these verses, Jude described the apostasy that is coming and the apostates who are coming into the church. There will be many who will turn away from God. But in these verses Jude gives us four things which we as believers can do to maintain our lives with God. First, we are to build ourselves up on our most holy faith. Meaning, we are to study the entire Word of God. Study the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Study the entire Bible. Get deeply rooted in the Word of God because these are days of apostasy. God is the one to give us faith. God is the one to grow our faith. God is the one to strengthen our faith. God is the one who made us righteous by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ His Son. And it is God who enables us to overcome the world by faith. Second, we are to pray in the Holy Spirit. We are to bring our petitions to God in prayer. And more importantly, we are to praise God and worship Him in prayer. We are to give thanks to God in prayer. And we are to let the Holy Spirit of God lead us in prayer, for “Prayer is the Holy Spirit speaking in the believer, through Christ, to the Father.” This is how we ought to pray in these days of apostasy. Third, we are to keep ourselves in the love of God. Let God’s love flood your life, for we need God’s love in these days of apostasy. Fourth, we are to look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ for eternal life. God is rich in mercy, and He extended His mercy to you and to me when God saved us by His grace. This is the purpose of Jesus’ first coming. And now we are to live in an attitude of expectation of Jesus’ return. How is this done? We live in an attitude of expectation of Jesus’ return by letting Jesus live His life through us. Meaning, we are to be productive in accomplishing the tasks that God has given us. So, that we will not be ashamed when Jesus returns. With watchful care, my friends, keep yourselves in God’s love, waiting in expectation for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to call us up into eternal life.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
