Isaiah 43:14-21 (NKJV) 14 Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “For your sake I will send to Babylon, And bring them all down as fugitives—The Chaldeans, who rejoice in their ships. 15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King.” 16 Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea And a path through the mighty waters, 17 Who brings forth the chariot and horse, The army and the power (They shall lie down together, they shall not rise; They are extinguished, they are quenched like a wick): 18 “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen. 21 This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.
Here in Isaiah, the ultimate destruction of Babylon is prophesied. God determined to crush Babylon for Israel’s sake. Let every anti-Semite take note of this. God is the King of Israel. The Lord Jesus Christ is their Holy One. When Jesus made His claim to Kingship, the people of Israel knew that Jesus was claiming to be the Messiah, Immanuel (God with us). God claims responsibility for Israel because He created them. God was the One who brought them out of Egypt and across the Red Sea on dry ground and destroying the Egyptian army at the same time. God alone is the King of Israel. God is the One that brought them out of Egypt and Babylon. And at the end of the Tribulation, God will make a road through the wilderness for His people once again to return to Israel. In the new earth, God will provide for them plentiful water supplies. The animals in the world will praise God because He gives water to them. God’s people will also be grateful and will praise His Holy Name. Today, however, it seems by the way people of this world are carrying on, that the animals are more conscious of God than man, who has fallen so deep in sin. Now is the time, my friends, to repent and turn to Christ for salvation.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
