Psalm 106:1 (NKJV) Praise the Lord! Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.

Psalm 106 is another historic psalm. The psalmist looks back through the history of Israel and he sees God making Himself known to His people. The psalmist saw Jehovah reveal Himself as a God of goodness, patience and steadfast love throughout Israel’s history. Because of this, he sings praises to God with thanksgiving in his heart. My friend, with all that is going on in the world today, and especially here at home in this nation, I am still sure that you can look back through your life and find something to praise God for. Don’t let the troubles of the world stop you from remembering how God is good to you. And don’t stop praising Him. Psalm 106 is also about the confession of sins and about bringing our petitions to God in prayer. When we come before God in prayer, we ought to begin with worship. We are to enter into God’s presence with praise and thanksgiving in our hearts. We ought to sing a “Hallelujah”. We are to confess our sins. And we are to give thanks God. Because He is always good to every one of us. My friend, God’s mercy endures forever. And He is worthy to be praised.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
