Revelation 22:13 (NKJV) “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ opened up the Book of Revelation with an assertion of His deity. And now at the close of Revelation, Jesus makes the same assertion again. Jesus says here in verse 13, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” At the start of Revelation, Jesus said, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.” No one can dispute Jesus’ deity. He is the only begotten Son of God. He is God the Son, the Second Person of the Triune Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Only those who are washed by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, God the Son, will not perish but have everlasting life. For Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV). The Lord Jesus Christ is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the last. Jesus is the only way to the Father in heaven. If you want to go to heaven, you will have to go through Jesus Christ, God the Son. Jesus is the beginning and the end. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made” (John 1:1-3 NKJV). Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ always existed, there is no time when He did not exist, He always existed in eternity. And through Him time began, all things were made through Him. Jesus always existed and He was there at the beginning of Creation. And Jesus will be there at the end of this world. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ came the first time to redeem the world. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). Jesus came the first time “To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord” (Isaiah 61:2a NKJV). Jesus came to free lost sinners from their sins with His substitutional sacrifice on the Cross. And Jesus is coming a second time for “the day of vengeance of our God” (Isaiah 61:2b NKJV). Jesus is coming again to judge those who rebel against God and who love their sins. The wicked will be judged and thrown into the lake of fire, which is hell. And this old earth will pass away. Hear John’s account of the events to come, he said: “Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God” (Revelation 21:1-3 NKJV). My friends, when Jesus came the first time, He stepped down from heaven and clothed Himself in humanity, and He dwelt among His people. When Jesus comes the second time, He will come in all His glory, there will be no mistaking His deity, and He will dwell amongst His people for all eternity.  We are going to be with God, Elohim: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, the Triune Godhead, for all eternity. If you do not know God the Son, then you don’t know Elohim. And Jesus will say to you, “I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ (Matthew 7:23 NKJV).

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
