Ephesians 5:15-21 (NKJV) 15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.
Now more than ever, we as believers are to walk wisely in the will of God by living for Christ. So that those who are without Christ can recognize for certain that Christ is within us. So that they may come to accept Jesus as their Savior. My friends, the world is heading into some very dark times. Because of this we need to be serious about being the light of the world. We need to let the light of Christ shine through our lives. How? By being filled with the Holy Spirit who makes it possible for us to live for God and accomplish something for Him. But in order for this to happen, the Holy Spirit must be in control of our entire being. And we need to be filled with the Spirit daily. Because we need to be refreshed each day and strengthen each day to accomplish the task that God has assigned us to do, and to face our enemies. If we are to serve Christ each day, then we need to be filled with the Spirit each day. This is something that we desperately need, because dark times are coming before Jesus our bright Morning Star will appear. The second coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is the Hope that we have in Jesus. It brings real joy into our lives, and it manifests into praise and worship. The Holy Spirit creates in us the Joy of the Lord. And it is an evidence of our salvation, for this fullness of joy is through our fellowship with the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ. Another evidence that we are filled with the Holy Spirit is having an attitude of thankfulness so that we honestly thank God for all things. And all things mean the good times and the bad times. My friend, be filled with the Holy Spirit so there will be love and joy and thanksgiving in your heart. This is the type of heart we need in order to submit ourselves to God. And out of love for Christ we are to walk with one another in lowliness of mind.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
