Hebrews 2:3 (NKJV) how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by those who heard Him,
How can we escape God’s judgment if we neglect so great a salvation in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God? There is no answer to this question. You cannot escape God’s judgment. Either the Lord Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins, or you will pay it yourself. And I remind you, the penalty for sin is death. The penalty for sin must be paid, because our LORD is a righteous God. The only way to God the Father is through God the Son. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV). The issue is our response to God’s gift of salvation. Will you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Or will you go your own way. “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 16:25 NKJV). There are many ways to make yourself appear good to those who share your own world views. But none of these ways leads to God. What do you have to do to end up in hell and be subject to death? Nothing at all, because if your sins are sill on you, then you will surely die. If you refuse to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then your sins are on you, and you must pay the penalty for them. But Jesus paid the penalty for sin on the cross at Calvary, “for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost” (Luke 19:10 NKJV). Why then should you choose death, my friend, when you can have life. Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28 NKJV). In Jesus’s life, death and resurrection is the fulfillment of the Father’s plan of salvation. And God says come, now is the time of salvation. ““Come now, and let us reason together.” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.”” (Isaiah 1:18 NKJV). God is calling you to come and be saved through His Son Jesus Christ. This is the message of salvation, and it is confirmed to us by those who heard Him. The question is how will you respond to His call?
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
