1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (NKJV) 51 Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

This has not been revealed in the Old Testament. Therefore, it is referred to as a mystery. It is also called a mystery because no one would have imagined it. No one would have thought about it. It is a truth which must be revealed by God. What is the truth that God is revealing to us? It is that we are not all going to die, and whether we die or don’t die, all of us who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior must be changed. Meaning, when the Lord Jesus Christ returns at His second coming, He will call up His own. With a voice like a trumpet Jesus will say “Come up here.” Then all who are His by faith will hear the upward call of God in Christ His Son. The dead will rise first and those who are still alive will follow. We will meet Jesus in mid-air, and He will make us like Him, He will give us a new glorified body, “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality” (1 Corinthians 15:53 NKJV) then our salvation will be complete. Jesus can return at any time. And His return will happen very quickly, faster than a twinkling of an eye Jesus will appear. There will be no time to say, “Here He comes” or “He is here.” So, we must be ready at all times for Jesus’ return. Or we will be ashamed at His appearing. Meaning if we are not ready, we will miss His appearing. We are told that many will be left behind. My friends, be ready for Jesus’ coming, live your life for Christ and in all things do it for the glory of God.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
