Deuteronomy 29:28-29 (NKJV) 28 And the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger, in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.’ 29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
The land of milk and honey was promised to God’s chosen people. Chosen not because they are special, but chosen because of God’s mercy and grace. They were chosen to testify to the world the sufficiency of God; Elohim, three in One – God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. But “Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers … and served other gods” (Deuteronomy 29:25-26 NKJV), God has made the land desolate. To this day the land of Israel remains desolate because they are still disobedient. They still deny the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ is their Messiah, God the Son. Does this mean that God has left the people of Israel? No, God made the covenant with His chosen people unconditionally. And He shall reconcile the faithful remnant of Israel unto Himself when our Lord Jesus Christ returns to judge the world and establish His kingdom here on earth. For these things concerning the Tribulation and the Millennial Kingdom of Christ have been revealed to us. While there are secret things that belong to God, there are certain things that God reveals to us. But with revelation comes great responsibility. Just as God has revealed His covenant with the people of Israel, and they were accountable to obey Him. We are likewise accountable to obey God for the things that He has revealed to us in Scripture, the Bible, His very spoken Word. “Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin” (James 4:17 NKJV).
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
