Isaiah 55:10-11 (NKJV) 10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

There is an importance given to the Word of God. The only place where the gospel of Jesus Christ, the message of Salvation, is found is in the Word of God. Salvation is a revelation of God, and God does not need man to assist in the fulfillment of His plan of Salvation. God planned it. Salvation is not something that man came up with. Man cannot work His way up to God. Rather God carried it out; He reached down to man through His Son Jesus Christ. Salvation is God’s gift. God gave up His Son Jesus Christ that whomever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. Like the rain that comes down from heaven, the will of God is accomplished without man’s approval or support. You see, my friends, the gospel of Salvation does not require our help. Jesus has already fulfilled the Father’s plan of Salvation. And God the Father was pleased with His Son’s substitutional sacrifice on the Cross, that He raised His Son from the grave on the third day. Jesus’ redeeming power is all sufficient. We can’t work for our Salvation. We can’t buy our Salvation. And We can’t earn our Salvation. Our Salvation is bought and paid for by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, God the Son. Jesus paid it all, and all to Him we owe. We receive God’s revelation of the gospel of Christ by the Word of God which comes down from heaven like rain. The Word of God is the seed that is sowed in the hearts of those who will hear. And when the Holy Spirit and the Word of God get together in our hearts, there will be fruit.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
