Luke 19:45-48 (NKJV) 45 Then He went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in it, 46 saying to them, “It is written, ‘My house is a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.’” 47 And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him, 48 and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to hear Him.

Our Lord Jesus Christ uses very strong words as He forces the buyers and sellers out of the Temple for the second time. Jesus had cleansed the Temple at the start of His public ministry. Now, this cleansing of the Temple for the second time officially ends Jesus’ ministry to the nation of Israel. We learn two lessons here. First, there is always a danger of becoming to concern about the profit margin when introducing commercialism into the things of God. As if to preach for profit and to do so all in the Name of Christ. Another lesson that we learn, is that whenever you rebuke abuses in the church, it is to be done in accordance with God’s Word. Just as Jesus quoted Scripture to support His actions.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
