Luke 19:47-48 (NKJV) 47 And He was teaching daily in the temple. But the chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people sought to destroy Him, 48 and were unable to do anything; for all the people were very attentive to hear Him.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was teaching daily in the Temple area, in the courts where the people were allowed. The religious leaders in the Temple looked for every excuse to destroy Jesus, but the people were still captivated by His teachings and His miracles. And this was so, because it was not yet time for Jesus to go to the Cross. But soon the time would come. Then the religious leaders would set into action their plot to have Jesus killed. Jesus’s Triumphal entry was on a Sunday the 10th day of Nisan. Jesus cleansed the Temple for the second time on a Monday the 11th day of Nisan. Then on the next day, Tuesday the 12th day of Nisan, was the last day of Jesus’ public ministry. Jesus gave the parable of the Wicked Vinedressers. Jesus taught about paying taxes to Caesar. Jesus taught about the Resurrection. Jesus explained how David can call his descendent Lord. Jesus warned the people of the Scribes. Jesus taught about giving with the example of the widow’s two mites. Jesus predicted the destruction of the Temple. Jesus taught about the sings of the times and the end of the age. Jesus predicted the destruction of Jerusalem. Jesus told the people about His Second Coming. Jesus gave the parable of the fig tree. Jesus told the people that it is important to be ready for His return. Jesus gave these teachings on a Tuesday, and the Feast of Unleavened Bread, a 7-day feast, drew near which is on the same month as Passover which is on the 15th day of Nisan. “And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill Him, for they feared the people” (Luke 22:2 NKJV).

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
