John 3:16 (NKJV) For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

This verse is well known. It states the gospel simply and clearly. It summarizes how we are born again. God loves people, but God does not love their sins. Sin had to be dealt with, God could not ignore it, for He is a righteous God. God loves people and He is not willing to let us perish. This is why “He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” But this does not mean that everyone is saved. You must receive what Christ has done for you by faith in His Son Jesus Christ. This is what is meant by, “whoever believes in Him should not perish.” Some may ask, “Why would a loving God send people to hell?” Well, the answer is simple. There is no reason for anyone to perish. God has made a way for everyone to be saved. But you must accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. When you do this, you have eternal life. God is reconciled. But you must come to God on His terms. You must come to God the Father by believing in His Son Jesus Christ.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
