Ecclesiastes 7:8-10 (NKJV) 8 The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit. 9 Do not hasten in your spirit to be angry, For anger rests in the bosom of fools. 10 Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?” For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.

There is a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment in completing a project. This holds true for righteous deeds. But the end of sinful deeds is worse. The end, if you will, of the righteous is better. For the believer, absent from the body is to be with Christ. But for the wicked the end is death and hell. Don’t get angry at anything, for a patient spirit is approved by God. But pride leads to destruction. If we keep grudges and resentments, we show ourselves to be fools. Don’t let anger get the best of you. And another foolish thing to do is to live in the past. Living in the past is to live in a fantasy. Because in reality the past life was not all that we make it out to be. It is better to face the conditions of the present and live triumphantly in spite of the difficulties. And through it all, my friend, we need Christ. Oh, how we need to have Christ today!

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
