John 12:35-36 (NKJV) 35 Then Jesus said to them, “A little while longer the light is with you. Walk while you have the light, lest darkness overtake you; he who walks in darkness does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light.” These things Jesus spoke, and departed, and was hidden from them.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ends His public ministry with this note, “Walk while you have the light.” This is Jesus’ response to the people who asked Him who the Son of Man was. Jesus refers to Himself as the Light of the world. And that He would only be with them for a little while longer. Therefore, He tells them that while they have the opportunity, they should come to Him for salvation. Otherwise, the darkness of the world would overtake them, and they would not be able to know the truth. My friends, if you say you are a believer, then you should be walking with Christ. Again, people should know that you are a child of God by the way you live your life. For actions speaks louder than words. The Lord Jesus Christ gives us purpose in life. Life is worth living with Christ. But those who walk in darkness lack purpose and satisfaction. They stumble through life here on earth looking for inner peace, but they never truly find it. For only God can fill that void in the human heart. My friends, God is still offering His mercy and grace to all who are willing to repent of their sins, and come to Him through faith in His Son Jesus Christ. But a time is coming when Christ will return to judge the world. This is why Jesus urges everyone to believe on Him while there is still opportunity so that you will be assured of salvation and divine direction through life here on earth and into eternity.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
