Romans 10:14-15 (NKJV) 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
The Jews applauded Saul the Pharisee, but they rejected Paul the Apostle of Christ. Why? Because Paul the Apostle preached a doctrine that they did not accept. It is the same today; many people reject the truth of God’s Word in favor of a false doctrine that tickles their ears. A false doctrine that allows them to continue on in sin. A false doctrine that makes salvation all about them; what they have to do to earn their salvation. This is the sad reality of the love of fleshly desires and pride. Paul was not persuaded to quit by the rejection of his fellow countrymen, instead he establishes his authority to preach the gospel of Christ. Paul tells them that his authority does not come by the approval of man, rather God is the One who ordains him to share the gospel. And Paul explains that no one will come to Christ not unless the gospel is shared. My friends, it is very important to get the Word out as Paul said, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” (Romans 10:14 NKJV). My friends, this was the reason for Paul’s ministry, and it is the reason for all ministries today; to get the Word out. The gospel of Christ is the Good News. It brings glad tidings of good things. And God considers the feet of His ministers, messengers that is, to be beautiful. I feel that it is important to get the Word of God out, the gospel of Christ, the message of salvation, to needy people. All who are doing their part in the body of Christ are ordained by God. And God says that their feet are beautiful. But as I look at my feet, I must say that they are not so beautiful. What makes feet beautiful? God calls beautiful the feet of those who He ordains to be His messengers, no matter what people thinks about them. “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace” (Romans 10:15 NKJV). I am reminded that we are given a wonderful opportunity to share God’s Word to all four corners of the world through live streaming over the internet. We can scale mountains, go over the plains, reach across the vast expanses of the seas, and go into the inner recesses of the world with the gospel of Christ. My friends, it is a privilege to get out the Word of God. And it is wonderful to have feet that God calls beautiful.
God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
