2 Timothy 2:19 (NKJV) Nevertheless the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

A seal is a mark of ownership and authentication. Having this seal proves that you are a true child of God. You may fake it on Sunday, but “The Lord knows those who are His.” What is the seal? It is not living in sin. “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” You may fake it on Sunday, but “The Lord knows those who are His.” People know that you are a true child of God by the way you live your life, for actions speaks louder than words. “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” This is what departing is: turning away from sin, and turning to Christ. That is repenting of your sin, and maintaining a fellowship with Christ. My friends, if you name the name of Christ, be sure you’re not living in sin. Sadly, however, there a professing Christians who act holy on Sunday, but the rest of the week he or she is having an affair or is dishonest. Christ knows who are His because He can discern the heart. You can fake it on Sunday, because people only see the outward actions of someone. But you can’t fool God because He knows your heart. My friend, the world certainly makes evil good and good evil. That is the cleverness of the devil. Don’t fall for the deceptions of Satan. If you call on the name of Christ, then depart from iniquity. This is the seal that proves you belong to Christ and that you are an authentic Christian.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
