Daniel 12:4 (NKJV) “But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

The prophecies of Daniel were to be sealed until “the time of the end.” When will this occur? Well, it does not refer to the end of time but it refers to the Seventieth week of Daniel’s Seventy Weeks prophecy found in chapter 9 of the book of Daniel. The Seventieth week of Daniel is called the Tribulation period which is a seven-year period when God will complete His discipline of the people of Israel and when God will complete His judgment of all who rebel against Him. There is much study of the Seventy Weeks prophecy especially the Tribulation period. Our knowledge of this prophecy has increased. And many scholars believe that we are living in a dispensation of grace, a gap between the 69th week of Daniel, when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was crucified, and the 70th week of Daniel which is the Tribulation period, a time when God’s wrath will be poured out unto the world. But before the Tribulation, Jesus will return for His church which is made up of all those who belong to Him by faith. And He will call us out of this world. “For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, that whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with Him” (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 NKJV). The return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is what we are looking for, not the Tribulation. We do not know the day or the hour when Christ will return. But God has a definite schedule and He is keeping things on time. God knows when His Son Jesus Christ will return, and we should always be ready for His triumphant return. We need to keep our eyes upon Jesus, “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13 NKJV).

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
