Deuteronomy 32:1-3 (NKJV) “Give ear, O heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth. 2 Let my teaching drop as the rain, My speech distill as the dew, As raindrops on the tender herb, And as showers on the grass. 3 For I proclaim the name of the Lord: Ascribe greatness to our God.

God lays out the conditions for which He is putting the people of Israel into the promise land. And God calls on heaven and earth to be a witness to these conditions. And when the people of Israel sinned against God. God calls on heaven and earth again to be a witness to the conditions for which He put the people of Israel out of the land. God is justified for putting them into the promised land, and He is justified for putting them out of the land, about 700 years later. The Word of God is refreshing and nourishing like the rain and as the dew. It reveals God’s greatness. Even in judgment, disappointment and sorrow, God’s Word is comforting and loving. God put the people of Israel out of the land to discipline them. But in God’s mercy and grace, He also laid out the conditions for their return to the land. And the heavens and the earth witnessed it. In times of lost, the Word of God comes down like rain upon the freshly cut grass. Showers that wash things clean, and makes things brightly clear. My friend, God desires that His Word will come down like gentle rain showers into your heart and life. My Friend, God is good, and He cares for you.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
