Ecclesiastes 12:13 (NKJV) Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.

“Fear God”, this is the message here. The fear of the judgment of God and eternal death is for unbelievers. While the fear of God for believers is to have such a great reverence for God that it has a great impact on how we live our lives. Believers are not to be scared of God. Instead, we have God’s promise that nothing can separate us from His love. To believers, the fear of God is respecting Him, submitting to Him, obeying Him, and worshiping Him with reverence and awe. “And keep His commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.” As believers, we know we can’t keep the Mosaic Law, even if we could keep a few by the letter of the Law, we can’t keep the heart of the Law. This being true, we need Christ for He is the One who kept the entire Law. In Hebrews 8:10, we see that God makes a New Covenant between Him and the nation of Israel, and God writes it upon their hearts so that they will be able to obey it. What is the New Covenant? Remember when Jesus and His disciples were in the upper room? What took place during the Passover meal is presented to us in Matthew 26:26-28 (NKJV), “And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body. Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.”” In any age, the conditions for salvation remains the same. It is by the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ that our sins are forgiven. There is no other way to approach God. We can come to God just as we are, but we must come to Him through His Son Jesus Christ. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16 NKJV). My friends, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31 NKJV).

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
