Genesis 37:16-17 (NKJV) 16 So he said, “I am seeking my brothers. Please tell me where they are feeding their flocks.” 17 And the man said, “They have departed from here, for I heard them say, ‘Let us go to Dothan.’” So Joseph went after his brothers and found them in Dothan.

Joseph was looking for his brothers. They had moved the sheep from Shechem to Dothan. It is near the Valley of Esdraelon, and this is where Joseph found them. They were about 100 miles from home, and they saw an opportunity to get rid of Joseph once and for all. For they were very jealous of Joseph and they hated him. And Joseph’s dream in which they were bowing down before him infuriated them even more. My friends, Joseph is a type or a symbol of the Lord Jesus Christ. The brothers hated Joseph. And so does the world hate Jesus. And as the world hates Jesus, the world will hate you because you follow Jesus. But still, as Jesus forgave us, we are to forgive. Just as Joseph forgave his brothers. My friends, we can’t share the message of salvation, the gospel of Jesus Christ to a world of lost sinners, if we can’t demonstrate the love of Christ.

God Bless and have a great day in God’s Word.
